About

My name is Jaime Pitchard, Founder of Unreal Hunting Gear LLC. I spent 9 years in the ski industry, where I was consistently working with personal fall arrest systems. I found myself hauling gear many different ways up and down the slopes with my 5-point harness underneath. I always had the thought of utilizing the weight distribution properties of my harness to haul the heavy tools and gear to and from my job site. This idea remained buried until the Summer of 2025 when I started developing the first prototype, but for a purpose that I was much, much more passionate about. After countless hours researching, developing, field testing, and 2am nights in my shop, I have put together a system that I truly believe opens up a whole new world of possibilities when it comes to mobile hunting.

Unreal Hunting Gear started as a concept, and that was to reverse-engineer a tree stand harness to use that weight distribution technology to haul your stand into the field. This concept eliminates a stand carrier. But how do you attach your stand? But what about your other gear? How do you keep it secure? What about saddle hunters? What about the gear I already have? These types of questions are what made it start to click. The goal became to make it as customizable and as versatile as possible, to not cut any corners through the entire development process, while keeping it made in the United States, forever. That goal was achieved, and we are just getting started.
